The Pitch is the UK’s largest small business competition and has recently started looking for the country’s top small businesses to compete for a £50,000 prize. It started in 2008 and has grown every year. This year’s promises to be the biggest yet with the launch of “The Pitch 80,” whereby 80 small businesses will be short-listed; 20 from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland respectively.
These will be chosen over the summer before a two-day get together involving all 80 businesses in Liverpool in November. The short-list will be whittled down for a the grand final in November, where the winner will be chosen.
The Pitch 2012 launch party will take place to coincide with the Global Entrepreneurship Congress and will feature, among other things, speed networking sessions and insights from previous winners.
The deadline for applications to The Pitch 2012 is 31 May.
