About Mowgli

The Mowgli Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. Our mission is to provide mentors who inspire, support and empower entrepreneurs in achieving their business and personal potential, encouraging sustainable job creation and social and economic development.

Unemployment is a global issue which we believe entrepreneurship can help resolve.

In the Middle East alone, over 80 million jobs need to be created in the next 20 years due to the population surge.  In these countries, approximately 50% of the population are under 16 years old and will soon enter the employment market, which currently cannot support them. A 2004 report, commissioned by the UN, called for business leaders to support SME owners in developing countries through mentoring: to ‘unleash’ the potential of entrepreneurs to drive sustainable development. It is in this spirit that Mowgli was launched in 2008.

  • The Mowgli Foundation provides leadership development of entrepreneurs and business leaders, through mentoring.
  • Mowgli’s Mentoring Experience is established and working with entrepreneurs from Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and the UK, and we have plans to extend our programmes to Egypt in 2011.

‘I fully endorse Mowgli’s ambitions to empower entrepreneurs in the developing world. Initiatives that allow people to help themselves and fulfil their potential are exactly what mentoring is all about.’ David Clutterbuck (European Mentoring and Coaching Council)
