Small and Medium businesses are the engine of growth for all economies worldwide. Entrepreneurship is crucial for the future economic and social development of Jordan where thousands of new jobs need to be created in the next four years. The Mowgli Foundation’s mission in Jordan and across the MENA region is to provide mentors who inspire, support and empower entrepreneurs helping them to achieve their business and personal potential.
The Mowgli Foundation is now accepting applications by Jordanian entrepreneurs who wish to take part in the next Mowgli programme in December 2011. Mentors and entrepreneurs who wish to take part can find out more by clicking ‘Get involved’ above.
Alia, Mowgli Jordan mentee entrepreneur
Alia is one of the Jordanian entrepreneurs taking part in the programme, she said: “Because of the Mowgli Foundation, I found my mentor Chris, and working with Chris changed my business. I am now more streamlined, systemized and focused. My mentor has helped clarify a lot of things for me and I feel he is there just for me and my business.”

British Ambassador Peter Millett said: “Part of our mandate is to support Jordan to ensure an economically healthy environment. We are delighted to be able to provide the much needed support to Jordanian entrepreneurs, through the Mowgli Foundation and its innovative and impactful mentoring program. This is one of the Arab Partnership Programme main objectives.”
Tony Bury, Founder of Mowgli said: “We are grateful for the support of the British Government. Mentorship can change an entrepreneur’s life and make the journey of building and developing a business less lonely. The greatest service you can give another human being is to mentor them. This is a life changing opportunity.”

دعم أصحاب الشركات الناشئة الأردنيين

إن الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم هي المحرك للنمو في جميع الاقتصادات في العالم. و روح المبادرة في الأعمال أمر ضروري لمستقبل التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في الأردن حيث الآلاف من فرص العمل الجديدة يجب أن يتم إنشاؤها في السنوات الأربع المقبلة. إن مهمة مؤسسة ماوغلي في الأردن و في منطقة الشرق الأوسط هي توفير المرشدين الذين يقومون بإلهام ودعم وتمكين أصحاب الشركات الناشئة و مساعدتهم على تحقيق أهدافهم المهنية و الشخصية .
تستقبل مؤسسة ماوغلي الآن طلبات أصحاب الشركات الناشئة الأردنيين اللذين يرغبون بالاشتراك ببرنامج ماوغلي القادم في كانون الأول 2011. يمكن لأصحاب الشركات الناشئة و المرشدين الراغبين بالتسجيل معرفة المزيد من المعلومات من خلال زيارة موقع المؤسسة الإلكتروني.
قالت علياء إحدى المشاركات في البرنامج: “من خلال برنامج ماوغلي استطعت أن التقي بالمدرب و المرشد كريس و من خلال العمل المباشر معه تمكنت من تطوير مشروعي. فأنا الآن أكثر تنظيما و تركيزا و دراية بأهدافي. فكان لمرشدي دور بتوضيح الكثير من الأمور بالنسبة لي وأنا أشعر انه موجود هنا فقط لدعمي.”
وقال بيتر ميليت السفير البريطاني في الأردن: “دعم الأردن لضمان وجود بيئة سليمة اقتصاديا هو جزء من مهمتنا ونحن سعداء لكوننا قادرين على تقديم الكثير من الدعم اللازم لأصحاب الشركات الناشئة الأردنيين من خلال مؤسسة ماوغلي وبرنامجها الإرشادي المبدع و المؤثر. وهذا أيضا يعد أحد الأهداف الرئيسية لصندوق الشراكة العربية “.
وقال مؤسس ماوغلي الأردن توني بيري: ” نحن ممتنين جدا لدعم الحكومة البريطانية. فالتدريب والإرشاد يلعبان دورا في تغيير مسار حياة أصحاب الشركات الناشئة و يجعل من عملية تطوير المشاريع و الأعمال عملية أكثر انفتاحا. و أفضل خدمة يمكن أن تقدمها لشخص آخر هي أن تقدم له الدعم و الإرشاد. فهذه فرصة يجب أن لا تفوت.”
