Today, the first day of the Medventures mentoring programme in Lebanon- known as MedMentoring- launched in full swing, thanks to the support of Mowgli’s partners Berytech in Beirut and lots of hard work in the last few weeks.
Medventures aims to support innovative enterprise across the Southern Mediterranean and the programme matches Mowgli mentors with Medventures entrepreneurs from countries like Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian authority, Syria, Israel, Algeria, Egypt Tunisia and Turkey. The programme has got off to a great start- keep up with the entrepreneurs until the 21st Sep on @mowglitweets!
Organised in partnership with Berytech (Lebanon) and the Mowgli Foundation, MedMentoring is a program that sets up a one-to-one relationship between mentors coming from Europe and the Mediterranean region and MedVentures entrepreneurs. You can read more about how Mowgli mentoring works here.
As Mowgli’s MENA director Lynn Brucker said: “Mentors have come from across the region to be involved in this programme, and the energy and atmosphere created by the programme is exceptional…. it just inspires, motivates, energizes me to find a way to build and scale this to reach every entrepreneur there is in this region and everywhere.”
Nicolas Rouhana of Lebanese incubator Berytech was a key driver of the event and has been tweeting from the sessions- catch his updates and photos by following @nrouhana on Twitter. You can read more about Berytech’s involvement with Medventures on their website. Nicholas Rouhana blogged about it here.
