Saeed Omar

Saeed Omar ran start-ups Eventex, TIA (Theatricals and International Artist Agency) and Artintra while working at Media-One as S&M Manager in Dubai from 2000-2007. He then moved to Damac Properties as their International Marketing Manager and helped expand their Sales globally.Saeed OmarIn 2009, he joined a Saudi company as Business Developer and set new ventures in Fast Food, Fire Fightingand Training.

In April 2010 he became Chief Coach at a Start-up incubator called Meydan modeled after Y Combinator in Jordan. Nowadays, he is running a new startup, Sitat Byoot LLC; a Direct Sales network for women in the Middle East. His business, SitatByoot, provides a web platform for the sale of products handmade by housewives who would not otherwise be able to go out to work. It is a social enterprise, working towards a social aim- reducing the high levels of unemployment amongst Arab women across the MENA states. Saeed is also a Startup enthusiast and has founded the non-profit StartupJo.com.
