Sandra has over 30 years management experience encompassing stints in the public, corporate and not-for-profit sectors. These have largely been in an operational capacity in fairly senior roles. From 2004-2006 she helped to establish the not-for-profit international women’s organisation Feminenza, which offers workshops, courses, and other opportunities for women to develop and learn more about themselves.
In 2006 Sandra became an Assignment Manager for Adopt a Business which delivers learning and leadership development programmes to corporate clients. Over a two year period, she mentored 33 individuals around their learning and leadership development assignments in the developing world. This involved mentoring over a broad range of subjects – from cultural and practical to emotional and business issues.
Sandra got involved with Mowgli for a number of reasons. She gets a great deal of personal satisfaction out of helping others develop their potential and pursue their dreams and this coupled with the fact that she admires Mowgli’s values and approach inspired her involvement . Sandra also likes the idea of mentoring in a more structured environment where she can deepen her understanding and develop her skills – thus becoming a better mentor.
Sandra has a strong work ethic but in her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and has an eclectic range of interests which include keeping fit through Pilates and recently Zumba and attending painting and singing workshops.
