Mowgli Business Mentoring Comes to Manchester: November 2010

Are you an entrepreneur in Manchester, with a new company?
Do you need the one-to-one support and confidence boost that comes with a mentoring relationship?

The Mowgli Foundation, after running successful mentoring schemes in the Middle East, has chosen to target its UK pilot scheme in Manchester this November, and we are looking for people to get involved!

Why Manchester? Not only is the city a hotbed of business talent and technological innovation, we hear from many quarters that Manchester could, perhaps better than many other UK cities, benefit from the energy, growth and dynamism which successful entrepreneurs bring to society. Our founder Tony Bury also has a particular commitment to Manchester, having attended Manchester Business School, and is passionate about seeing this scheme succeed.

Manchester is in the process of redefining the next phase of its growth and development with the Greater Manchester Strategy, and Mowgli wants to be a part of the strategy’s blueprint for business growth. We aim to connect successful business leaders of today, with those of the next generation; to ensure that Manchester’s growth is sustainable and helps the city to fulfil its true potential.

To do that, we need you. If you are an entrepreneur with a business which has been running for at least a year, is based in the North West of England, and can commit to our initial 2-day programme and then for 2 hours a month, we want to hear from you. There is no age limit and no cost for mentees. Contact us as soon as possible- we want to make sure this November is the start of a great mentoring relationship for as many Manchester businesses as we can!

To take part, please email Alicja Turner at alicja.turner@mowgli.org.uk, with some information about yourself and your business, and we will respond as soon as possible. We are especially keen to hear from busines owners who come from minority backgrounds, or who run businesses from outside Manchester’s more privileged communities and who may need particular support- but we welcome contact from all entrepreneurs.
